Things to Do: Beer School in Cherry Hill

Looking to find out a little more about beer, other than "it goes well with my pretzels."  On the third Monday of every month from 6:30 to 7:30 PM, Dubh Linn Square’s Cherry Hill's beer experts will present a sampling and discussion of three beers brewed in one style, along with snacks that pair with the beers. The inaugural class on January 16th, entitled ‘Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark’ will feature three stouts. Of course Guinness will be included, as well as a Russian Imperial Stout and a locally brewed stout which will be unveiled at the event. The cost to attend each session is $20 per person. Call 856-520-8312 to reserve a space. Click here to view a short video presenting the program and introducing Dubh Linn Square Pub’s Beoir Scoil Dean, Patricia McGeough, who has twenty years of brewing experience that has taken her all over the world: http://www.youtube.com/user/PeterVBreslow#p/u/6/Y-yd-8hxU_U

Chris Christie was on The Simpsons

Sort of. Jersey's favorite governor was made fun of on last weekend's "The Simpsons."  The plot- Homer becomes a political pundit with his own bombastic television show.  Simpson is later asked by his wealthy boss Mr. Burns which Republican candidate for president he likes.  “I don’t know,” he says. “Can’t we get Chris Christie to run?”  “I don’t think so,” replies Mr. Burns.  Burns then gestures and points to a “Simpson-ized” version of Chris Christie. He’s shown as being substantially overweight, with scattered remains of food around him, as he wolfs down a drumstick and chokes on it.  As he chokes, he says “Save me, Obamacare.”  (Read more here.)

Hey Christie, I guess it's safe to say that you've made it.
